The fate of 170 people in the glacier erosion in India

At least seven people have been killed and 170 missing after an avalanche in the Chamoli region near the Himalayas in the Indian state of Uttarakhand.

With the mind of glaciers, the alakanda and Dhuliganga rivers overflowed, causing high flooding and flooding of many villages.

The floods washed away five bridges and completely destroyed a small hydroelectric project under construction, resulting in the loss of most bridges.

Prime minister Narendra Modi said Indian security forces and divers are involved in life-saving operations and will work for the safety of all injured in Uttarakhand.
